Creator Relay

Creator Relay was meant to tie together creators on Twitch, Kick, YouTube, Rumble, and X, with the Creator Relay website, better discovery, and charitable opportunities. X was planned as the bridge between those platforms, the site, discovery, and fundraising. The core ideas were discovery and search, and helping communities raise money for causes that matter.

On hold: the official X account remains suspended

What we set out to build

Creator Relay was designed to go beyond a simple profile link: it was meant to improve how creators are found, make search and discovery more useful, and create a path for streamers and other creators to partner with nonprofits and fundraising efforts. The goal was for visibility and impact to move together.

What happened

In November 2025, the official @CreatorRelay account on X was suspended minutes after it was created, with effectively no activity on the account. Since then, the situation has not been resolved through normal support channels.

  • The account was suspended almost immediately, before the project could use it in a meaningful way.
  • Multiple appeals have been submitted; there has been no clear resolution or transparent investigation.
  • X has associated the account with policy issues despite the lack of substantive use, which created a deadlock for a project that never got a fair start on the platform.

Without a stable, public presence on X, Creator Relay cannot launch there as planned. Other work tied to this ecosystem (including tooling and experiments that depend on X) is paused until the platform side is clarified.

In any other situation we would register a new account and keep building. X's rules say that if an account is suspended, creating or using another account to get around that can violate the same terms, even when the suspension looks baseless and appeals go unanswered.

So we are left in a bind: the official project handle is still dead inside the product, and walking away from it to start fresh may still be treated as evasion. Until @CreatorRelay is actually usable again, we cannot honestly move on and act as if none of this occurred.

“Restored,” but still suspended

At various points, three separate notices (including email) indicated the account had been restored. In practice, the account has remained suspended in the X interface, so the status shown to users does not match what we were told.

Below: what X shows for this account today (suspended), then the profile view (no posts, no followers, no following). After that are the “account restored” messages we received, oldest first. Together they document how little lines up with what we still see when we check this account.
